Acupuncture

Relax & Rest

Our years of combined experience have taught us the best ways to provide safe, effective treatments to care for our patients. There are many styles of acupuncture you might come across, but the one we practice here at Balance Point Acupuncture is traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture.  Please note that all needles we use for Chinese acupuncture in Melbourne are disposable, sterile, single use needles. Laser acupuncture is also an option, if absolutely necessary.
Contact us today to book your appointment and check out what else we’ve got to offer you.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Your Acupuncture Treatment

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into known points along the meridians in order to stimulate or tonify Qi. In other words, it manipulates your energy flow to restore balance, which in turn re-establishes health.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Unlike some media depictions of acupuncture, we rarely use more than 3 or 4 needles per session. We are very gentle with the insertion and then leave the patient to relax without manipulating the needles again. We then remove the needles after 20 minutes and most patients find they've had a wonderful deep relaxing nap and are ready to go about their day.

What can Acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture treatments could help with:

  • Pain relief and management

  • Stress

  • Chronic pain related to depression by managing the underlying chronic pain.

But if you're unsure whether acupuncture is right for your condition please call us to discuss further how we might be able to help.
